Iran's ‘Loneliness’ to vie at Int'l Youth Film Festival

Iranian film ‘Loneliness’ is scheduled to partake at the International Youth Film Festival “Light to the World” (Kinofest).

The film, written and directed by Ehsan Mahboubi, will represent Iran at the 2022 edition of the event.

‘Loneliness narrates the story of an elderly woman who uses a telephone to exit her loneliness.

Mohammad Nabi-Talebi’s ‘The Kite’ is another Iranian film to vie at the event.

‘The Kite’ is the story of a street fight which leads to social alliance.

According to the official website of the event, the Kinofest aims “to promote spiritual, moral, patriotic, artistic and aesthetic education of modern youth”.

This year’s edition of the fest is set to be held on May 27-30.
